Electric Device E

The E98/E99 electric rim device provides
remote unlocking capabilities. A control
station operator can flip a switch to lock
or unlock the outside trim. The 24VDC
solenoid assembly contains a SPDT
(single pole double throw) signal switch E98/E99
to monitor the outside trim (locked or
unlocked). A second switch monitors Rim device shown — Refer to 33/35 or 98/99 Series catalog for complete product
information, mounting styles, outside trim, finishes, etc.

The outside trim cylinder retracts the
latchbolt for mechanical override.

Note: Some Fire codes will require “Fail
Safe” (FS) operation for stairwell doors.
Be sure to specify the correct operation
for your application.
Supplied with 3’ (914mm) Cable at the
hinge side of door.
